Launcher Trends ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the OS 26 Launcher application ("App") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The majority of your data never leaves your device. The following is stored locally using Android DataStore and Room databases:
- •Home screen layout: App positions, folders, dock items, page configuration, widget placement
- •App preferences: Theme, icon shape and size, grid layout, dock style, animation speed, gesture settings, notification badge style, search engine preference, wallpaper settings, and all other customization settings
- •Notes: Note content, title, color, and timestamps
- •Search history: Recent search queries and search frequency
- •App usage data: App launch frequency for suggestions and Screen Time widget (stored locally only)
- •App customizations: Custom app names and icon overrides
- •Hidden app list: Package names of apps you choose to hide
- •Wallpaper preferences: Favorites and usage history for downloaded wallpapers
- •Feature preferences: Enabled/disabled state of search sections, widget visibility, battery saver settings
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain information through analytics services:
- •App usage analytics: Feature usage patterns, screen views, button interactions, app launch counts, and session duration. We track behavioral patterns but do not track the content of your notes, the names of your contacts, or other personal content.
- •Device information: Device model, manufacturer, OS version, app version, screen resolution, and locale
- •Crash reports: Stack traces, device state at time of crash, and error logs
- •Performance metrics: App startup time, screen rendering times, and network request latencies
- •Subscription status: Your tier (Free, PRO, PRO+) and owned feature packs (no payment details)
1.3 Information You Provide Voluntarily
- •Cloud sync (optional): If you enable cloud sync, your Google account email is used to authenticate with Google Drive. Your app data is stored in your personal Google Drive.
- •Pixabay API key (optional): If you provide a custom Pixabay API key, it is stored locally in encrypted storage on your device.
- •Feedback emails: If you send feedback, your email address and device information included in the email are processed by your email provider.
1.4 Information Accessed with Your Permission
The App requests certain device permissions at runtime. Data accessed through these permissions is used only for the stated purpose and is not transmitted to our servers:

2. How We Use Your Information
- •Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and user experience
- •Display your installed applications, widgets, and home screen layout
- •Save and restore your preferences and customizations
- •Provide search results across contacts, calendar, files, and other on-device data
- •Display relevant weather data based on your approximate location
- •Deliver advertisements (free tier) and process in-app purchases
- •Analyze usage patterns to improve features and fix bugs
- •Send push notifications about app updates and features (with your consent)
- •Provide cloud backup and restore functionality (when you opt in)
- •Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We share information with the following third-party service providers. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
3.1 Analytics Providers

3.2 Advertising Partners
The free version serves advertisements through the following networks. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads:

- •AppLovin MAX: Banner, Interstitial, Native, Rewarded. Privacy Policy
Ad placements appear in the app drawer, settings screens, search results, wallpaper browser, and notes list. You can remove all ads by purchasing the Ad Removal pack or subscribing to a paid tier.
3.3 Other Service Providers
- •Google Play Billing: Subscription and purchase processing (purchase tokens, no payment card data)
- •Google Drive: Cloud backup and sync (optional) — settings, layout, notes, wallpaper stored in your personal Drive
- •Google Sign-In: Authentication for cloud sync (email address for Drive access only)
- •Pixabay: Wallpaper image search (search query terms only)
- •WeatherAPI.com: Weather forecasts (latitude and longitude, approximate)
- •Firebase Remote Config: Feature flags and app configuration
- •Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications (device token)
4. Advertising and Your Choices
We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalized advertising in compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, and other applicable regulations. You can manage your ad preferences at any time through Settings > Ad Privacy in the App.
The App accesses the Google Advertising ID (AAID) for ad serving purposes. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Settings > Google > Ads.
You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the Ad Removal feature pack or subscribing to PRO or PRO+.
5. Data Storage and Security
- •Local Storage: The vast majority of your data is stored exclusively on your device using Android's DataStore and Room database. Sensitive information such as API keys is stored using Android's encrypted storage.
- •Cloud Storage: If you opt into cloud sync, your data is stored in your personal Google Drive account under a dedicated "OS 26 Launcher" folder. We do not maintain copies of your synced data on our servers.
- •Security: All network communications use secure HTTPS connections. Sensitive values use Android's encrypted storage.
6. Data Retention
- •Local data: Retained until you uninstall the App, reset to defaults, or manually delete it
- •Cloud sync data: Retained in your Google Drive until you manually delete it or revoke access
- •Analytics data: Retained per Firebase (14 months) and Mixpanel retention policies
- •Crash reports: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days
- •Ad-related data: Managed by respective ad network partners per their policies
7. Your Rights and Choices
- •Access: Export all your data via Settings > Export Data
- •Deletion: Delete local data via Settings > Reset to Defaults or by uninstalling. For cloud data, delete the "OS 26 Launcher" folder from your Google Drive.
- •Opt-out of analytics: Disable Usage & Diagnostics in device settings
- •Ad consent: Modify via Settings > Ad Privacy
- •Permissions: Revoke any permission via Settings > Apps > OS 26 Launcher > Permissions
For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR): You have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to or restrict processing. Our legal basis: (a) consent (ads and optional features); (b) legitimate interest (analytics); (c) contract performance (core features).
For California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete such information.
9. International Data Transfers
Analytics data and crash reports may be processed by Google (Firebase) and Mixpanel on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by the privacy policies of the respective service providers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
